International Labour Organization (ILO) and UNICEF have published data on which 15.5 million children worldwide work as slaves. It is for children aged 5 to 17 years. Many of them probably do not even get paid.
Statistics that were published on the occasion of "World Day against Child Labour" clarify that the 15 million children, 10.5 of them work under the legal age limit, respectively, are forced to work under hazardous conditions. The number of girls is much larger than the males, 11.5 million.
